According to police, the boy — Diego Garcia — was identified in the pond around Lakeview Avenue and Story Road soon after his babysitter, the boy’s aunt, went to the rest room and arrived out to obtain him absent.

“The neighbor, she came, she was inquiring if we noticed a child, and we told her ‘No,’” reported Donna Hernandez, a neighbor who helped look for for the boy. “And I walked all around. I walked to just one of our trailers, and I seen the little one floating in the h2o. I screamed to my partner. He came working and grabbed the child out although I identified as 911.”
Winter Backyard garden police reported they showed up to the retention pond driving the babysitter’s household at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday immediately after receiving a call about a little one drowning.
Garcia was pulled from the pond, provided CPR and transported to the clinic, but did not endure, officers claimed.
