Funding to demolish 65 vacant, hazardous properties in Flint and Bay Town parts headed to Congress
FLINT, MI — A monthly bill that includes funding to demolish 65 of the most dangerous vacant properties in the Flint and Bay City parts, is headed to the U.S. House of Representatives for a vote.
U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Twp., explained in a information release that the $1.75-million demolition request is just one of 10 jobs he proposed and which were provided in the Fiscal Calendar year 2022 Transportation, and Housing and City Improvement, and Connected Companies spending invoice, which was approved Friday, July 16, by the Residence Appropriations Committee.
