Acer Gadget, Starbit set up NFT platform

Acer’s subsidiary Acer Gadget and Startbit have jointly recognized Jcard 2., a NFT (non-fungible token) platform for listing and transaction of style, amusement goods/products and services and arts, according to Acer Gadget president Allen Jong.

For Jcard 2., Acer Gadget and Startbit have enlisted manner and leisure brokerage service service provider Catwalk Output Residence, Taiwan Academy of High-quality Arts and Tokyo Chuo MuChunTang Auction.

The system is intended to enhance application of metaverse, which will require cross-area means, internationalization and globalization, cooperation amongst govt companies, industries and tutorial businesses, Jong famous.

Being a startup established in 2017, Startbit specializes in establishing software program programs for enterprises’ blockchain applications. The business launched Startbit Ex, the initial decentralized exchange in Asia, in 2018 and has created STO (safety token presenting) and NFT platforms. Startbit was invested by Taiwan’s Countrywide Advancement Foundation in July 2019 and by Acer in February 2022.

Metaverse consists of numerous things, together with AR/VR/XR, wearable equipment, smaller-size companies of services, games and IP, Startbit CEO Sway Teng mentioned.

The small business design for Jcard 2. is characterized by listing costs for certified IP and 5% of transaction revenues as brokerage cost, Teng mentioned. Listing fees range, relying on IP ailments, Teng indicated.

Other than the Taiwan current market, Jcard 2. will be promoted in Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea, Teng said.
