An Arvada Police officer and two other people had been killed Monday in a capturing at the Olde Town Arvada searching district in a Denver suburb.

Arvada Mayor Marc Williams stated he was driving a block from exactly where the incident happened when he saw 11 law enforcement cars and trucks travel by with their lights and sirens on.

A law enforcement procession moved by the city Monday evening to mark the officer’s dying.

Gov. Jared Polis launched the next statement in reaction to the incident:

“We are carefully monitoring the troubling condition in Arvada. My feelings are with the relatives and friends of the officer who was tragically killed in the line of responsibility while quickly and bravely responding to secure civilians in the place.”

The Metropolis of Arvada shut City Corridor early and canceled Monday night’s town council assembly. The Olde Town Arvada Water Tower was lit Monday night to honor the officer and victim.

“We are all past saddened and stunned by the gatherings that unfolded in Olde Town Arvada these days and are still processing the tragedy with the relaxation of the group,” Joe Hengstler, director of the Olde City Arvada Business Improvement District, reported in a statement. We thank our quite a few businesses that took swift and watchful motion to hold patrons and passersbys as risk-free as doable.”
